Bike Riding Trails In Miramar Beach

A bike ride is the perfect addition to any vacation in Miramar Beach, Florida! Just few minutes a way from OhanaDestin vacation you can rent bicycles, helmets, and chain locks and enjoy a relaxing ride along the beach or the area’s beautiful trails, we have put together the best places to go bike riding in the area.


1. TIMPOOCHEE TRAIL

The Timpoochee Trail is a beautiful 19-mile paved bike path that parallels the infamous Highway 30A and the Gulf of Mexico. The Timpoochee Trail crosses through many of Florida's famous beach communities, including Dune Allen. The path also intersects some of the rare coastal dune lakes that are found in this part of Florida.


2. SCENIC HIGHWAY 98

Scenic Highway 98 is the original beach cruising spot in South Walton. This paved path is perfect for biking, jogging or even longboard skateboarding. The path runs right by Miramar Beach Access which offers expansive views of the coastline. It's also a local favorite for surfing and sunsets.


$2 entry per person. This State Park offers one of the most beautiful Fort Walton Beach bike trails along a paved trail which leads to Campbell Lake or to a beach access point. The trails wind through coastal forests featuring mature growth and three dune lakes. The park offers bathrooms, a camp store, and drink fountains throughout the park to allow for breaks from your ride. Bicycles, including tandems, are available for rent, if needed.


3. POINT WASHINGTON STATE FOREST

Located 15.4 miles away from The Henderson, Point Washington State Forest is great for anyone looking to do some off-road bicycling. As part of the forest’s Eastern Lake Trail System, visitors can bike through a 3.5-mile, 5-mile, or 10-mile loop. Point Washington State Forest is also home to a number of old logging roads and the Longleaf Pine Trail, which runs through the middle of the park and crosses scenic water hazards.
